Bec and Michael had a beautiful backyard wedding at their home in the Perth Hills. It was a gentle, balmy afternoon and as I drew up outside their home, I could hear beautiful music and laughter filling the air. Bec is a real creative and so many of the details on the wedding day were carefully thought out, and made by her and Michael. Her bouquet, with white and soft pinks, and grey greens was elegant and simple. Even the grazing table was beautifully decorated and laid with amazing looking food. There was a margarita menu…which was my favourite touch :-)
A star of the day was their pretty bridesmaid Staffy, who stole the show by ambling up the aisle in the middle of the wedding. As the sun set we chose a spot in the garden and took some family photos and captured some gorgeous moments of Bec and Michael.
Being among all the friends and family at a backyard wedding, you can’t help feel lucky: the feeling of love, warmth and happiness emanates way beyond the four walls of home. Although these little weddings always seem simple and effortless on the day, and flow so easily, I know that there has been hours and hours of work, thought and care to make the wedding day extra special.
As I left, passing a food truck serving paella, and a table of home made iced cookies that Bec had made as a treat for every wedding guest, I had a huge smile on my face.
